Urban K9, REQUIRES all pets to be up to date on their Rabies vaccination. Georgia law (Rabies Control Law-O.C.G.A.-31- 19) requires that all owned dogs and cats be vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian using approved vaccines in accordance with the national Compendium of Animal Rabies Prevention and Control. (Puppies under 6 months that have not yet been administered a rabies vaccine are required to have an up-to-date Bordetella vaccine.)
Kennel cough (similar to a human cold) is a respiratory condition caused by a variety of viruses and bacteria often spread by direct contact by dogs. Urban K9 REQUIRES that your dog be immunized & kept up to date with their Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccine. Keeping your dog current with their immunization will help to prevent the spread of kennel cough and/or diminish the severity of infection in your pet.
Distemper, adenovirus type 2, and parvovirus are all considered core vaccines by the American Veterinary Medical Association and American Animal Hospital Association. (Puppies must have at least 2 rounds of Distemper/ Parvo vaccine, with the scheduled boarding at least 2 weeks after receiving the 2nd round.)
