Karina has been grooming for 25+ years. She is certified in canine skin and coat, as well as canine CPR. She is experienced in grooming difficult dogs, and has been called a dog whisperer for being able to work with dogs that project very reactive (aggressive) behaviors. Her greatest satisfaction and enjoyment comes from bringing out dogs' most beautiful personalities, making them smell and look great!
Karina is originally from Illinois, just south of Chicago. She is owned by Becca, her 11 year old German Shepard, and Bobby, her 14 year old cat. She has been married to her husband, Greg, for 27 years, and they have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.

Our trainer Phillip Edwards-Russum, CPDT-KA has been working with families in the CSRA for 10 years and is certified through the Animal Behavior College, Certification Counsel of Professional Dog Trainers, and the American Kennel Club.
He practices LIMA (Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive) training with a focus in positive reinforcement and proactive training routines.

I was born and raised in Georgia. I was very active in the FFA. This is where my love for animals first began. I proudly served my country for 10 years in the United States Navy. I am also the mother of 3 awesome children and 3 spoiled dogs. My goal, along with the staff, is to make sure your dog has the best experience possible here at Urban K9.
